Soil Pollution -
Land pollution or Soil pollution. Soil pollution (also known as land pollution) is caused when man-made chemicals, such as hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and solvents, get into the soil. These chemicals come from industrial activities and from improper waste in disposal in leaky landfills.

To prevent soil erosion
• Plantations, dam-bands etc. should be made. • Develop new pesticides that could destroy bacteria other than target pests.
• Increasing use of organic manure and milder pesticides should be ensured in agricultural activities.
• Planting more green grass.
