Soil contamination or soil pollution as part of land degradation is caused by the presence of xenobiotics (human-made) chemicals or other alteration in the natural soil environment. It is typically caused by industrial activity, agricultural chemicals or improper disposal of waste.we should avoid soil pollution because it causes harm to nutrients which is present in soil . soil pollution decreases soil fertility. this also cause harm to crops . this also cause water pollution when polluted soil mixed with water during irrigation.
