Answer:

Solar cell Panel is a set of solar cells arranged in specific order. Solar cell is a device which converts solar energy into  electricity. It is kept in the sun light like an umbrella and it is connected to a battery.

Working - When sunlight falls upon the surface of the semi-conductors used in solar cells, electrons start to emit and move and electric current flows in the circuit.  Uses of solar cell panel - The solar cell can be used in the following:

(1) For operating television receiver and radio receivers.

(2) For providing electricity for street lights.

(3) in the ares where direct supply of electricity is either not possible or very costly or cannot be produced by other means.

(4) In space exploration and artificial satellites.

(5) Solar cells panels are used to provide electricity to dig off shore oil wells.

(6) In operating wireless sets, communication devices, transportation signals, etc.

Answer:

Solar cells produce direct current electricity from the sun's rays, which can be used to power equipment or to recharge batteries. Many pocket calculators incorporate a single solar cell, but for larger applications, cells are generally grouped together to form PV modules that are in turn arranged in solar arrays.
