Solar Constant

It is a term which express the total quantum of heat energy received at the edge of the Earth's atmosphere is equal to 1.4 kilo joule/s/m². This is Known as Solar constant. The same amount of heat energy it has to cross the atmosphere before coming in contact with the surface of Earth. Some amount of heat energy is reflected back to the speace because of pollutants present and some is absorbed by the clouds present.
