Answer:

A corona is an aura of plasma that surrounds the Sun and other stars. The Sun's corona extends millions of kilometres into outer space and is most easily seen during a total solar eclipse, but it is also observable with a coronagraph.

The corona is the outer atmosphere of the sun.It extends many of thousands of kilometer (miles)above the visible surface of the sun , gradually transforming into the solar wind that flows outward through our solar system. The material in the corona is an extremely hot but tenuous plasma.
