Solar System: The sun including its companion celestial bodies constitutes the solar system.

The evolution of the solar system -

Some scientists believe that a giant cloud of gases and dust called Nebula appeared moving in the space about 6.4 billions of years ago. It cooled and gained fast rotation. The eight balls of gases were separated. They separated from Nebula. And the remaining central mass of the Nebula changed into a star called Sun. The other eight balls changed to planets. They are revolving around the sun in their fixed paths called orbits. And the satellites were formed when the small balls of gases separated from the central mass attracted by their companion planets. The satellites started revolving around planets.
