A solenoid is a coil of insulated wire wound on a rod-shaped form made of solid iron, solid steel, or powdered iron which produces magnetic field when electric current through it. It is a electromechanical device. Devices of this kind can be used as electromagnets, as inductors in electronic circuits etc.....

Answer:

Heya☺️.....

Here is ur answer

Solenoid

When a copper wire with resistive coating is wound in a chain of loops, it is called as solenoid.

  • Solenoid itself behavious like a bar magnet.
  • The magnetic lines of force produced by solenoid have similar properties to the magnetic field lines produced by a bar magnet.
  • Like a bar magnet, one end of the solenoid acts ad the north pole and the another end as the south pole.
  • As the magnetic field lines are parallel to each other inside the solenoid, the magnetic field within it is uniform.
