Sodium carbonate is generally prepared by Solway process . This process is also called ammonia soda process. Raw materials used are Nacl, milk of lime and ammonia. In this process CO2 is bubbled through the solution of brine saturated with ammonia when hydrogen carbonate precipitates due to common ion effect.....
