Somatic embryogenesis potentially promotes polyploidy reactions in the presence of colchicine or the antimicrotubular drug amiprophos-methyl [46,47]. Increase in polyploidy reactions while regenerating via somatic embryogenesis was reported in the melon (Cucumis melo) and Iochroma warscewiczii [48,49]. It was also evidenced that somatic embryogenesis potentially regenerates triploid plants from the endosperm as explant. This was observed in Prunus persica [50], Citrus [51], and Acacia nilotica [52]. Regeneration of plants from microspores via somatic embryogenesis is possible but haploid regeneration from anthers (androgenesis) or ovules (gynogenesis) through embryo formation is not considered as somatic embryogenesissensu stricto

heeyee mate here is ur answer
Somatic embryogenesis is an artificial process in which a plant or embryo is derived from a single somatic cell or group of somatic cells. Somatic embryos are formed from plant cells that are not normally involved in the development of embryos, i.e. ordinary plant tissue
