somatic hybridisation is the type of hybridisation which is not linked to germ cells..no changes in genetic makeup occur during this hybridisation..somatic cells are fused together to create new plants. generally used to create desire resistant and good quality plants..
eg-pomato ( hybrid if potato and tomato)
