Hollywood gets a lot wrong in SciFi. A lot. I’ll focus only on a small part of space ships visiting alien planets.

Something are needed due to the plot (I am okay with aliens speaking English or being humanoids or humans making contact very quickly or sound in space, because we have limited time. But carelessness is inexcusable).
