The inner conscience, feelings, emotions, thoughts is only soul which is individual and immortal (which would be alive always, noone can destroy it) and it would be judged by GOD and accordingly you would get heaven or hell.
It's the heart that feels,body is just a object, it's soul which keeps it alive with emotions without soul , we would be neutral, we all can have hearts but can't have emotions,we all can have mind but forbidden from thoughts without soul , so ultimately soul is only the basic of life.
