Answer :-

In physics, sound is a vibration that typically propagates as an audible wave of pressure, through a transmission medium such as a gas, liquid or solid. In human physiology and psychology, sound is the reception of such waves and their perception by the brain.

Sound is produced when something vibrates. The vibrating body causes the medium (water, air, etc.) ... Vibrations in air are called traveling longitudinal waves, which we can hear.

Answer:

sound is produced due to vibration when a body vibrates it forces the adjacent particles of the medium to vibrate. this result in a disturbance in the medium , which travels as waves and reaches the ear . hence sound is produced.
