Heyy dear♥️

When a heart beats, two sound can be heard - 'lubb' and 'dub'. The opening and closing of valves present in the outlet and inlet of ventricles cause these sounds.

The first 'lubb' sound is caused by the closure of tricuspid and bicuspid valves. This sound is low-pitched, not very loud and of a long duration. This is also called systolic sound. The second 'dub' sound is caused by the closure of semilunar valves. It is high-pitched, louder but of a short duration. This is called diastolic sound.

These sounds can be heard by doctors using an instrument called stethoscope.

Thank you :)
