Sound is a form of energy which produces the sensation of hearing in our ears.

the maximum displacement of a vibrating body on either side of a central position, is called its amplitude.

a vibrating body complete suppression number of cycles of vibration in one second . the number is known as its frequency.

it is observed that the vibrating body completes its one cycle of 'to and fro' motion in a fixed time interval . the time interval is called its time period.

Answer:

sound travels in the form of waves forming a series of compassion and rearfactions.

Wavelength: The distance between two consecutive compression or rearfactions.
