Neelam Sanjiva Reddy became the  6th president of India. He was elected as first chief minister of the state of  Andhra Pradesh.

The speciality  about his selection as  presidential election, as  he became the first person to be elected President of India without any  contest and remained  the only President who was  elected without any opposition candidate.

Reddy was selected as the deputy chief minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh  in 1953 and became the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 1956.
