The Central and State govts of India have come together to take measures to increase foreign investments through Special Economic Zones . SEZs are said to have world class facilities-- water, electricity, roads, transport, storage, recreational and educational facilities. MNCS who invest in SEZs do not have to pay taxes for initial period of 5 years.
