In order to explain about different species , many species concept were proposed. John Roy was the first scientist who introduced term and concept of species.

Biological concept of species:-

• This concept of species was given by Ernst Mayr.
• Species in terms of biological concept was given by Ernst Mayr.
• In his statement he defined that " Those members which have ability to produce fertile offsprings, will belong from same members and from same species those which can interbreed among themselves.
• But his definition was incomplete because he didn't explained about those animals which have asexual mode of reproduction.

Taxonomic concept of species:-

• If species are determined by the morphological characters then it is known as taxonomic species.
• Cauliflower, Knol-khol and cabbage have same morphological characters it means they belong from one taxonomic species.
• As these are not able to breed among themselves that's why on the basis of interbreeding those three will be different means three biological species.

● As we know that their is a large amount of species in our world thats why so many scientists gave their concepts to explain about species.

Some of scientists are :-

◆ By the mean of natural selection or preservation. Charles darwin was the scientist who gave this concept in which it considered to be the found two of evolutionary concepts.

◆ And also biological concept was given by Ernst mayr in 1940.

Some of species concepts are :-

biological species concept :-

• It define as the biological species as the member of the existance populations that are potentially interbreed in the nature not by the similar appearance. Although appearance is very helpful to identity species.

Evolutionary species concept :-

• As we know every species wants to sustain their life and existance. An evolutaionary species lineage of a ancestor descendant population of organism. which use to maintain its identity from other such lineage and also has its own evolutionary tandency.

Recognition species concept :-

• This concept simply states that species is a set of organism that recognize one another as a potential, and also they have a shared mate recognition concept system.
