Speed-

Distance covered by the particle in per unit time is known as Speed.

Types-

1.Uniform Speed-

Equal distance covered by the particle in equal time interval is known as uniform speed.

2.Non Uniform Speed-

Different distance covered in equal time interval is known as non uniform speed.

Some extra things about Speed -

A. Speed is a scalar quantity and its unit is metre per second.

B. For a moving body speed is always positive it can never be negative.

C. For a moving body speed may be increasing or decreasing.

D. Average speed-

The ratio of total distance travelled to total time taken by the particle is known as the average speed.
