Spermatization is defined as the process in which small spore or spermatospores or spermatia that are small seed like structures are formed.  It occurs in the fungi where spermatia are formed in male hypha and are transferref to female or receptive hypha. Spermatia have a single nucleus and are transferred to the female hypha by the wind or insects. Spermatia enter the female hypha by the formation of a pore.
