spin is an inherit form of angular momentum . It is followed by elementary particles and atomic nuclei. It belongs to two angular momentum. You can speed up and its an easy way to energizes a particle and it can shot off with the same speed .
The formula is S=hrootover1/2(1/2+1/)=rootover3/2h

hey friend.
we know that spin angular momentum is 4th quantum number in quantum mechanics.
=) All four quantum numbers are solution of Schrodinger's wave equation.
◆ spin angular momentum or spin quantum number have no practical meaning or existence..
=) It is just a hypothetical case.
=) it only determine the intrinsic angular momentum of electron or any other charge particle .
=) hypothetically we have taken spin quantum number as ( S) = +1/2 , - 1/2
=) we assume that if one election has spin angular momentum +1/2 the other has -1/2 in the same orbital..
so in any orbital two electron have opposite spin this may cancel out their effect and making the orbital stable.

spin (S) is give as:-
=). √{s(s+1)} h/2π
where , s = 1/2
