⚡️ SPINAL CORD :-

➡️ Spinal cord is the continuation of medulla oblongata.

➡️ It is a long, narrow, cylindrical cord which arises from the base (medulla oblongata) of the brain and extends downwards.

➡️ It is protected in a bony cage called the vertebral column.

➡️ A cross-section of the spinal cord shows two similar halves fused together to form a small canal in the centre called central canal.

➡️ This canal is however filled with cerebrospinal fluid.
