Medulla oblongata comes out from foramen of Magnum and continue in neural canal of vertebral column the continued part of medulla oblongata is known as spinal cord.

Function of spinal cord.
1 .it acts as a bridge between brain and the organs of body.
2. it provides relay path for the impulse coming from the brain.
3. spinal cord regulate and conduct the reflex action.
