SPM is suspended particulate matter, its a air pollutant such as dust, smoke, lead compound, fumes, fine particles of unburnt carbon etc. It is released on burning of carbon containing fuels. These are very dangerous and harmful pollutants. These are released from car's exhaust, burning of wood and coal etc.
