A sporogeneous tissue is a tissue, that consists of a group of tissues which contain the diploid microspore mother cells. These spore mother cells present in the sporangeous tissue divide meiotically to form the haploid microspores that arrange themselves in a tetrad fashion.
These microspores are considered to be the haploid male gametes of the plant that fertilizes with a haploid female gamete of the same or different plant to produce the diploid zygote.
