Stable eq. Is when a body dispace from equllib. And have tendency to attain equillib.

Unstable equillib. When body dispace fron equllib but not have tendency to attain equillib.

Neutral when after displacing body it attain equillib at every position. Like a ball moving in straight line in ground. At every point mg is balanced by normal.

deepikakumarikvs: Is there is any change in center of mass
BigSmoke: yup there will be change in centre of mass during displacement of body

Answer:

Stable equilibrium]

A body is said to be in stable equilibrium, if on disturbing it from equilibrium position, it has tendency to go back to same equilibrium position.

In this position potential energy will be minimum.

Unstable equilibrium]

A body said to be in unstable equilibrium if disturbing it from equilibrium position, it has tendency to go away from equilibrium position.

ln this case potential energy is maximum.

Neutral equilibrium ]

A body is said to be in neutral equilibrium, if disturbing it from equilibrium position , it neither moves towards nor moves away from equilibrium position.

ln this case potential energy is nearby zero .
