It is an alloy of steel made by adding chromium and carbon. To be precise, 10.5% chromium content by mass and a maximum of 1.2% carbon by mass.

Stainless steel is the mixture of Fe, Cr,, Ni. it is very strong and don't get rust. It is used in making cooking utensils, instrument etc.
