heya mate here is your answer
a law stating that in fluorescence the wavelength of the emitted radiation is longer than that of the radiation causing it. This is not true in all cases.

an expression describing the resisting force on a particle moving through a viscous fluid and showing that a maximum velocity is reached in such cases, e.g. for an object falling under gravity through a fluid.

Imagine a sphere with fluid flowing around it.

Hi

Here is ur answer

STOKE'S LAW:

A force that retards the sphere moving through a viscous fluid is directly proportional to the velocity, radius of the sphere and viscous of the fluid.

f ∝ r

           f ∝ v

                       f ∝ η

                                ∴ F ∝ ηrv

It is applicable for only laminar flow of fluids. This force is retarding force.

                f = kηrv

For a small sphere k is found to be equal to 6π , so, ∴ f = 6πηrv

By the application of dimension analysis, the given equation is dimensionally correct.

CONDITIONS:

         * The body is perfectly rigid and smooth. The fluid through the body moves has infinite extension.

         * There is no slip between the body and the fluid.

         * The motion of the body doesn't give rise to turbulent motion and eddies. Hence motion is streamlined.

Hope it helps U
