stomach is a muscular bag like organ which expands when food enters it. it plays an important role in digestion
the food from the oesophagus reaches the stomach and there the disgestion of fats proteins and carbohydrates take place. wall of the stomach have gastric glands which secrete dilute HCl and to protect the stomach from action of acid under normal conditions , we have a thick lining of muscus all around our stomach . the HCl make the pH aciduc and facilitates the action of enzyme pepsin which further breaks into peptides and peptodes and the Villi in stomach absorbs the nutrients present in food and it reaches psrtially to our vells through our blood stream amd then ,The piloric sphincter of our stmach opens and rhe partially digested food flows to deuordinum in small intestine for complete digestion of food
