☆ plants are having tiny pores on stems, leaves and other parts.
☆ the maximum concentration of these spores is in leaves.
☆ these are known as stomatal pores.
now what is stomatal transpiration?
we know that plants require CO2 to make food and in return they give out O2.
the water molecules also come out with CO2 which is known as transpiration.
this is understandable by using the term evaporation.
now you know there are many types of transpiration.
but why?
because the number of stomatal pores in different parts of plants such as leaves, stems et cetera vary.
the types are:
✿ stomatal transpiration
✿ cuticular transpiration
✿ lenticular transpiration
now what is the different between them?
=> stomatal transpiration occurs in soft parts of plants such as leaves. it sometimes occurs in stems.
=> cuticular transpiration occurs in cuticles.
( cuticles => epidermis of leaves and aerial parts of plants)
=> lenticular transpiration occurs in stems.
