STomata is a tiny pores present on the surface of the leaves of green plants which is responsible for opening and closing .It is act like a guard which will swell when there is maximum water in leaves then transpiration takes place so that maximum water get evaporates and transpiration takes place for further the process of photosynthesis.It gets shrink when there is no need of loss of water to evaporate.
