Stomata are the tiny openings found mainly on the lower surface of the leaf.

Stomata are pores present in leaves that're surrounded by guard cells.

The function of guard cells around it is the opening and closing of the stomata.

Stomata allow exchange of gases from the surroundings.Carbon dioxide is taken up and oxygen is released. It also allows transpiration to take place.
