Small tiny pores present on the surface of the leaves are called stomtata.

Stomata, present on leaves, helps leaves to trap sunlight and helps the plant in transpiration.

I hope it helps...

✨There are small openings on the lower surface of the leaves. These pores are called stomata. These openings are surrounded with guard cells

➣Stomata are mainly responsible for vital processes like photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration etc.

➣The stomata contain guard cells that regulate the opening and closing of the stomata. They are opened only when the plant needs carbon dioxide for photosynthesis

➣In plants, carbon dioxide and oxygen are exchanged through the stomata by diffusion.

➣Diffusion is the movement of a substance from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.

➣Along with providing gaseous exchange, it also helps in getting rid of excess water by the process of transpiration.

hope it helps you
