STOMATA ➡

Stomata are small pores present in the leaf. They are surrounded by gaurd cells which help in closening and opening of stomata.

Their functions performed by them are as follows-:

1)They allow exchange of gases from the surrounding medium.

Usually, carbon dioxide is taken up and oxygen is released.

2)From stomata,transpiration takes place that is loss of excess water from the aerial parts of the plant.

Stomata are small opening found on the lower surface of the leaves. They are surrounded by two guards cells. Stomata helps in exchange of gases and removal of excess water. The guard cells help in the opening and closing of stomata by accumulating and draining out water in them.
