stratosphere it's the second layer of the atmosphere. this layer extends upto 50 kms from the surface. it lies between troposphere and mesosphere. in this layer ozone is the most important good which absorbs'ultraviolet rays' of the sun and protect all forms of life on the Earth. this layer is free from clouds and other important weather phenomenon and provides ideal flying conditions for jet aircrafts.
