Answer:

what is streamlined shape

The special shape that is given to the object that can move in a fluid is called streamlined shape. The objects while moving in the fluid experience a certain force which is opposite to their direction. This frictional force is known as drag. In order to decrease this drag the objects are given a special shape or streamlined shape.

☞Examples

  • 1) Aeroplanes have streamlined shapes to reduce the friction force exerted by the air.
  • 2) Submarines have streamlined shapes to reduce the friction force exerted by the water.
