the changing of a solid directly into vapours on heating and of vapours into solid on colling is known as sublimation.

the change of solid directly into vapour is called sublimation
examples = camphor, iodine, naphthalene and anthracene.

solis carbondioxide sublimes to form carbon dioxide gas.
