Sublimation is the process of change of gaseous state to solid state without going through the liquid state.

We can show this from a activity :

• Take some camphor or ammonium chloride.
crush it and put it in a China dish.
• Put an inverted funnel over the dish.
• Put a cotton plug on the stem of the funnel.
• Now, heat slowly and observe.

We can observe the change of state directly from solid to gas without changing into liquid state.

This is called Sublimation.

I have attached the picture of the activity.
