Heya friend,

Sublimation is change of state from solid to gas director with out passing the intermediate state of matter 'Liquid'.

Some examples of sublimation-

•When we put naphthalene balls in clothes, after some time it disappears without leaving any solid.

•Ammonium chloride when heated directly changes to gas.

Let's perform an activity to be more clear-

•Take some ammonium chloride.
•Crush it properly
•Put it in a China dish and cover it with a funnel such that it's wider mouth is on the China dish.
•Now heat the China dish by using a burner.
•And put a cotton plug on the narrow part of the funnel.
•After sometime you will observe ammonium chloride vapours.

As the ammonium chloride is turned to vapours,we can observe that it didn't changed to Liquid state.

So we did an activity to show sublimation.

That's all!!

Hope it helps...!!!!
