Sublimation is the direct transition from the solid state to vapor, and the heat absorbed by it is equal to the sum of the latent heats of fusion and of vaporization.

In scientific terms, Sublimation is the transition of a substance directly from a solid-state to a gas state. It does not pa.ss through the usual liquid state, and only occurs are specific temperatures and pressures.
