Substitution reaction is a chemical reaction during which one functional group in a chemical compound is replaced by another compound.
In case of benzene, electrophilic substitution takes place ( a type of substitution reaction).
Benzene reacts with nitric acid in the presence of sulfuric acid at 323 to 333 K to form Nitrobenzene.
