Suffix-Suffix is a letter or group of letters which when attached at the end of the original word, creates a new word with different spelling as well as a different meaning from that of the original word.

Also, when the suffix is attached to the word it either changes original adjective to verb and the verb to adjectives.

e.g.-let's take an example-

let's take a word-"state" and the suffix "ment"

The original word state talks about the situation or the circumstances, but when the suffix ment gets attached to it, it becomes statement, which means a sentence, that are two different words having two entirely different meanings.

Similarly for the given word "dismiss"-the suffix would be al because it creates a word dismissal. But if we add ful to it, it will not create any word.
