a superconductor is a substance which has 0 resistance, I.e. when electricity is passed through it once, it flows in the conductor for an infinite time span. for eg mercury below 4.2K

It is one of the state of matter which is highly unstable. These actually are very cool elements which have no resistance. While silver has the lowest resistance in normal state but these elements are far ahead of silver.
