SuperConductors :-

  • A superconductor is substance of zero resistance at a very low temperature.
  • Some of the substance like Tin , lead etc are known to be superconductor.
  • they have a property of decreasing tremendously, the decrease in temperature and becomes almost zero in the low temperature range near absolute zero.
  • This means of super contractor is something which has a zero resistance.
  • Once a current start flowing in superconductor it persists even when there is no potential difference across it.

Some facts about superconductors:-

  • Super conductor are not in common use since it is very difficult to achieve such a low temperature.
  • the size of computers could then be reduced to a few canteen if the wire should be made of super conductors.
