judicial power of supreme court means that the court has the power to issue writs i.e. direction or enforcement of fundamental rights if the limitations are placed on them. the court can order compensation to the victims and punishment to the offenders. So any law or policy made by the government that is not in accordance with the text or intention of the constitution can be declared as illegal. this is known as judicial review.
