Surface water is the water that is found above the earth surface. It contains dissolved salts and suspended impurities. It may also have some germs. Sewage from factories and harmful substances make the water dirty. This water is harmful for drinking. Most of the drinking supplied to our home is supplied by rivers. It has also been clean before it is fit for drinking.
