Answer:

a heterogeneous process.

Explanation:

in a suspension, the solute particles are large enough to be separated from the solvent through sedimentation.

for example: sand in water. in such solution, the sand settles down               {sedimentation}. the water can be passed through a filter paper and can be separated from the sand.

Answer:

Suspensions are heterogenous mixtures. Its components are not mixed uniformly. Its particle are greater than 10nm (1nm=10^-9m) in size.

Particles are visible to the naked eyes. They are opaque. Tyndall effect if observed as particles are large. They are not stable i.e particles settle down on leaving it for some time. The components can be separated by the process of filtration.

Examples of suspensions are clay particles in water, mixture of chalk powder and water etc.
