Sustainable development is development that does not exceeds the capacity of an ecosystem.

For instance, if a ecosystem can sustain 1000 people , development that does not exceeds the usage of resources that the 1000 people can use is a sustainable development.

In short, it is a development that does not uses up all the resources faster than they can be renewed.
