Sustainable economic development means the development must take place without damaging the environment and also development in the present must not compromise with the needs of future generations.

Various programs have been launched by the government for this sustainable development,

1. Rio De Janerio earth summit , Brazil-1992

2. Resource planning, the club of Rome.

3. Gandhian policy was also presenter in a book named Small is beautiful by schaumacher.

4. Brundtland commission report,1987 also reported this concept and advocated it as a means of resource conservation.

5. Then later a book was also written named Our Common future based on this Brundtland Commission report.
