hii here is ur answer
===================
Sustainable development is that process of economic development which aims at maintaining the quality of life of both present and future generations without harming natural resources and environment.
it is important because economic development lead to too much of exploitation of natural resources.
Diverse crops are grown on land causing fall in the productivity. Excessiv mining of iron, coal, gold, silver and extraction of crude oil lead to gradual depletion of their stocks. smoke and other injurious emissions from factories and means of transport lead to pollution of environment. Economic development, therefore, gives rise to the problem of water and air pollution. It adversely affect the quality of life of present and future generation, consequently, possibility of fall in the rate of economic development in future goes up.
